If you’re fuller busted you’ll know shopping for lingerie can be a real struggle.  Nothing ever seems to come in sizes to fit big boobs and chances of something a little bit sexy are slim.  When lingerie isn’t cup specific it can sometimes prove all the harder.  What if you didn’t want to be limited by your chest size?  What if you actually wanted to wear those sheer, whimsical pieces just for the joy of it?

Much of the time I find myself cooing over too gorgeous and too skimpy lingerie that I’d never be able to wear.  Sometimes you’ve got to admit defeat and sense tells me to wear what I suit and what fits.  But that can take you to places where you’re pigeon holed, told what’s acceptable, and well, I want to wear what I feel like and sometimes that includes lingerie that does nothing for support and isn’t about control, but makes me feel liberated and sexy.  And that is completely okay – if I can find lingerie that will fit.

I tend to focus a lot on good bra fit because 9 out of 10 times that’s what my day to day life demands, and a bra that will hold up and do it’s job quietly is what floats my boat.  But I do like to touch on the frivolity and sensual nature of lingerie too, which is why I will occasionally showcase pieces that aren’t necessarily full bust labelled but can still be enjoyed by the full bust wearer, because nothing should be off limits.

Maison Close is an awesome brand that totally gets the beauty of a woman and by which, concentrates on showing off the female form in a tastefully enticing way.  I can’t wear a lot of what they do because they generally cater for the sub D bust, but with much of their apparel featuring bodies and camis, means there are some fantastic pieces someone with a bust can wear.

Maison Close sent me the black Plastron Panty Body (XL) from one of their most recent lines, Music Hall.  The backless body features a veiled front sheath that ties at the neck and a brief with attached suspender clips.

The super sheer front veil is the most dominant part of the whole ensemble.  Its simplicity is provocative and yet alluring, the ripples of the soft tulle stirring intrigue and inviting to touch.

The generous proportion of the veil and its fluid structure makes it accessible to any size bust, so it’s perfect for anyone who can fit the standard dress sizing.  I wear the largest size (which sounds crazy) of an XL, which equates to a 12-14, so a good fit for me.

The brief is a soft and silky opaque fabric to the front, while the reverse is a spotted sheer mesh with ruching at the centre seam.  Take a closer look at the brief and you’ll find it’s a discreet ouvert knicker with tiny functional buttons along the gusset to wear as you please.  I often see ouvert briefs that are just in their gaping open form, so it’s pretty cool to see there’s the flexibility in choice here.  Tiny buttons are fiddly, but hey, it’ll add to the excitement!

The neck tie was a big influencer in picking this body, as it’s such a playful part to the design.  It’s tangibly oversized with a gorgeous softness, and you can play around with how it’s tied so it’s a big bow or hanging low down your back.  It doesn’t tie snuggly around the neck, as the two eyelets for the ribbon don’t allow it to pull closer.  It’s something I found a bit frustrating as it meant it hung with a certain looseness around my neck and didn’t look neat enough.  This may be a safety feature so you don’t go and strangle yourself but it could do with being made a little tighter, according to my neck, anyway.

The suspender straps – two to the front and two to the back – are slim and easily clip onto stockings.  They’re attached to the brief so you can’t remove them, but being the size they are they’re not really bothersome if you don’t use them.  I probably could have done with having the straps a little longer as it meant the brief pulled down whenever I sat down.  If I were to wear this out I would totally find it annoying to have my crack constantly coming out, but since it’s more boudoir apparel then I let it off.

The Plastron Panty Body is a beautiful piece of lingerie that makes me feel completely feminine.  Maison Close have a knack of bringing out gorgeous designs that combine sensuality and erotica for a perfect blend of sexiness and style.
