Now that the weather is truly warming up, I’ve begun to think about what to wear differently for bed.  Whilst I usually snuggle down in long sleeved tops,t shirts and loose pyjama bottoms, humid evenings find me longing for something a  little less wrapped up.

Pretty Polly, a name more associated with hosiery and socks, recently launched into lingerie and sleepwear.  The youthful and feminine new ranges come in easy to mix and match collections reflecting each trend.  Sweet Nothings with it’s fruity colours, the candy pastels of Day Dreamer and Summer Brights delivering colour pops in the season’s hottest shades.

Every piece is finished off with Pretty Polly branded trims: embossed metal tags, embroidered logo bows and labels. The little details add to the sumptuous feel.

The lingerie line contains an exciting array of colourful prints and laces, in soft cups and underwired up to a DD cup. Sadly, being a G+ cup this meant I couldn’t try one of the pretties out, but I was able to take a closer look at the clothing.

I received the Summer Brights Vest and the Summer Brights Shorts in the matching pink and aqua animal print design, both in the Medium size.  The loose fit, racer back styled vest features a small lace breast pocket with the same lace detailing to the sides of the hem.  The shorts also have this lace trimming the sides, finished off with a turquoise herringbone tie at the waist.

The high modal content of the fabric makes the set amazingly lightweight and it feels soft and cool against the skin.  I’m fussy about my fabrics not irritating, and the fluidity of the fabric of the vest and shorts meant they were pleasantly comfy to sleep in.

The shorts are high cut on the leg so they aren’t confining and are easy to move in. The deep waist band is both elasticated and tie fastening which allows for more flexibility in comfort and ease of wearing.

The vest is cut specifically to be a relaxed fit which I found a bit too generous: the fabric gaped at the sides around the underarm exposing a degree of sideboob which was a bit annoying; I prefer a closer cup nearer the armpit so it’s not so open.  That aside, in general the looseness makes the vest nice and easy to lounge around in.

I also received the gorgeous Sweet Nothings Hoodie in the grey heather colourway. A soft grey marl accented with hot pink herringbone ribbon tie at the neck which functionally adjusts the hood; a candy pink lining printed with hearts.

The hoodie is beautifully soft and cosy, due to the luxurious 15% cashmere content. It’s not a heavy or thick garment which I expected it to be. The fabric is more of a quality lightweight fine knit.

Featuring deep elasticated cuffs, elasticated hem and a low hung kangaroo pocket, the hooded sweater is a deliciously satisfying wear. For a more bountiful fit that you can hunker on down into, I recommend sizing up.

The Pretty Polly new additions have especially impressed me, having experienced their fabrication and feel first hand. Comfort and ease of wear is personally my first prerogative with nightwear and clothing to lounge around in, and skin friendly softness is my cup of tea.

I love the pretty and feminine print on your Pretty Polly sleep set. I also love the colour of the bra you wore underneath. The set looks cute and comfortable.
