Gossard Radiance: The VIP Swarovski Range

August 31, 2015

When was the last time you bought lingerie just because it looked good?  Buying based on looks is something we do all the time – aesthetics is everything – but sometimes the sexiest bra is blown out of the water by something more beautiful, more extravagant.

Most often set aside for a rare special occasion, this type of lingerie is more decadent, and oh, how fantastic it makes you feel!

Gossard‘s VIP line is the brand’s range of extra special lingerie with a more boutique feel.  This season they introduce the Radiance collection which is unbelievably divine.  A design boasting glamour and femininity, the Radiance co-ordinating set offers a truly luxe boudoir look.

Now, as a large cup wearer, there comes a down side.  Frustratingly so, the Radiance bra only runs up to an E cup.  With previous similar VIP styles available in a G cup, this was such a disappointing find.  So here I have styled up with a different bra (the Panache Fontaine) which shows how versatile the collection is, if anything!

In all fairness though, the waspie was the dealmaker for me.  It’s simply an exquisite little thing!  I haven’t done any modelling work for a fair while now but designs like this just make me want to schedule a boudoir shoot already.  At risk of sounding overblown, the Radiance waspie really is a pleasure to look at as well as wear, and I’m a little bit obsessed with it.

Gossard sent me the Radiance Waspie Suspender (large, RRP £66) and the Brazilian Brief (large, RRP £22)

The mesh fabric waspie is coloured in soft blush and peony pink tones, accented with gold hardware and branding.  Lightly embellished with genuine Swarovski crystals, it features a heavily embroidered front panel where a satin ribbon runs round to the back and ties to a large bow.  The waspie has gentle plastic boning, so it’s not restrictive, and it closes with a rigid and secure front clasping busk with an easy hook and eye fastener at the back.  There’s no lacing like you’d expect on a corset, so it is simple to put on.

Additionally, there are 4 in-built suspender straps so you can attach a pair of stockings to complete the sensual look.

If you’re new to waspies and corsetry in general, there’s no need to be wary; this isn’t about waist training or sucking in your gut.  A waspie is close fitting but you can wear it as loose or tight as you feel comfortable.  Because of the nature of a waspie it naturally nips in your waist which provides that hour glass effect.  Fit aside, if you’re not so confident about your tummy area, a waspie is a gorgeous reason to dress up that area, rather than hide away!

The brief is a brazilian cut so it’s a happy medium between a thong and bikini brief.  The matching embroidered mesh adorns the front panel of the brief, and features a key hole detailing to the top of the waist band on the backside of the stretch mesh.  The overall feel is very soft touch and fluid, with the reverse edging having a seam-free line around the bottom.

Although a brazilian brief isn’t my preferred style, it is a comfy option if you’re wanting something a little skimpier than a fuller coverage knicker.

In my opinion, Radiance is Gossard’s headline act this season: it’s beautiful, eye-catching and luxurious, and is the perfect antidote to a stagnant lingerie drawer.  Treat yourself this Autumn!

As a dedicated stockings wearer I prefer my suspender straps to have metal clasps, these look plastic ? Are they removable as I like to wear a waspie over clothes as well as under if possible ?

Hi! The suspender attachments are indeed metal, so they’ll be more hardwearing than plastic. I’m afraid they’re not detachable though, they’re fixed, I probably didn’t explain this enough. I agree, it’s much better to have the option.

The Gossard Radiance suspender waspie is very pretty. I like it’s length, the pink floral embroidery, pink trim, pretty pink ribbon and bow. I also love the pink colour of your Panache Fontaine bra. The pink floral embroidery on the mesh fabric of the Gossard Radiance Brief is pretty as well and your bum looks lovely showcasing the brief.
Normally I seek a slippery soft feel, comfort, and looks in the knickers I buy and wear. The only reason I can think of (and it’s a very good reason) for buying lingerie based on its looks is to be seen wearing it, so the lovely looks when worn can be fully appreciated. Although I generally prefer wearing and modeling full coverage knickers, I can imagine certain circumstances in which I might prefer to be presenting in the more Brazilian cut of the Gossard Radiance Brief. I think modeling a corset or waspie with the full coverage briefs might inspire me to take selfies for new lingerie review posts sooner than if I waited to get back into better shape. That Gossard Radiance waspie is a very pretty one!

Hey Panty Buns! Yes, I know you prefer the cut of a deeper brief, as I do too. It’s a fairly buttery soft feel to the brief, as the seam-free edge gives it fluidity. If you ever do try a brazilian style, I’d recommend you try this one for comfort!
