Colour popping shades are the way to wear your lingerie this summer, and Gossard‘s second on-trend neon bright comes in the form of their successful Luxury Lace line.

Luxury Lace features a padded plunge bra heavily detailed with an overlaid stretch embroidered lace.  Reflectly Lola’s coral pink and aqua trims, Luxury Lace’s aqua blue is accented with a central coral bow.  Contrasting with such a typically classic design, the vivid aqua blue gives Luxury Lace an insane punch of colour.

Luxury Lace is another collection available in two bra formats: balcony up to an E and plunge up to a G.  Yay for G cup plunge!

I was sent a 30G plunge and Small thong.  Initially I thought this bra looked enormous and would definitely not fit, but it did!  The low central gore is perfectly positioned for close set boobs like my own, and as the cups come up quite high at the apex means it’ll suit high set and wide busts.

The wiring is well rounded and the padding decent without being overly thick and heavy.  The wings are slightly narrower compared to Lola’s design, and interestingly the straps, which again are fully adjustable and soft to the touch, are substantially a few mm thinner.  Narrow straps are controversial in the large bust domain, not everyone feels secure with them.  Admittedly it did feel a bit strange, but because it’s so common for large bras to come with wide straps by default.  It wasn’t such a bad experience.  I didn’t feel the straps digging in at all, they felt comfortable and never bothered me.  There were marks after I took the bra off but nothing more than I usually do and I probably had them on too tight.

I did experience some discomfort though, and that came from the high cups.  Sometimes bras are cut too close to my armpit and I’m constantly aware of it.  It didn’t chafe and rub thankfully, but I was more than aware of it and wished the cups weren’t so deep at this point.

The thong is low positioned with a bit more coverage on the bottom than you’d usually expect (which is a good thing, to me).  The fabric is comfy, with the whole knicker being fully stretch, featuring the lace to the front panel and double thickness mesh to the reverse without seams so it’s a smooth line.

Overall, Luxury Lace is an amazing bra – gorgeous colour for summer, plunging for my low tops and perfect bust fit, discreet straps that won’t  detract from my summer dresses and vests, and padded for a nice overall shape.  I’ll be wearing this one again!
