Pin Up Pretty: Tutti Rouge Beatrice Mint Spot

June 8, 2015

I’ve followed Tutti Rouge since they first launched into the fuller bust scene back in 2013.   Within just a few years the brand has achieved incredible acclaim, thanks to their fresh new take on D+ lingerie – and a little help from some rather spankingly hot ladies fronting their campaigns and wearing their wares, a la Ashley James, Lucy Vixen and Sukki Singapora.

While many lingerie labels at the higher end of the cup spectrum seemed to be churning out safe styles in less than exciting designs, Tutti Rouge took it up a notch with collections unashamedly cute and sexy.

Throughout the seasons I’ve reviewed and worn a fair few Tuttis, but I realised that the bras were all balcony shapes (the most popular amongst the bigger busted) and I was yet to try a plunge.  I tend to be best suited for plunging styles as central gore placement can have dire effects, so it’s always an exciting prospect for me when a plunge bra catches my eye.

Tutti Rouge‘s Beatrice Mint Spot collection was one of those heart flickering moments for me, and when you fall in deep at first glance you know you have to meet some day soon.  The gorgeous folk at Tutti Towers informed me they had a set winging its way over to me, which was a rather marvellous email to receive indeed.

I received the mint colour Beatrice Spot bra in a 30GG (RRP £33) and Beatrice Spot short in a medium (RRP £16)

The Look Beatrice Spot is a minty fresh soft satin with a pin up inspired self spot design.  The deep plunging three section cups are lightly padded and sit upon an all round band for a secure base.  The straps are slim and semi adjustable with decorative trim to the front section, and the band closes on three hooks.

The short is super low on the tummy and is medium cut, though it can be worn a little higher on the hips.  While the satin fabric to the front panel is fairly rigid, the reverse is a sheer, pliable stretch mesh for comfort (and cheekiness!)

The Fit The Beatrice bra is a really good match with my shape; its gore is ultra low and allows the cups to cut across my boobs in a natural way.  The 30GG is pretty much spot on, if I forgive my larger boob.  Proper fit mavens will notice my left side is bigger, thus more in need of a larger cup.   Don’t beat up Beatrice for this!  This is how just about every 30GG wears on me.

The band is lovely and tight, so it stays put and gives fantastic support.  Sadly yet again I find myself in a war with Tutti straps.  I find them just too narrow, and together with the semi adjustability I over adjust and kill my shoulders.  The straps also feel too wide for my shoulders, so it’s a triple whammy bummer.

Tutti Rouge are only young, so I forgive them for not being precisely perfect, but then again, it may be just me, so I may be an unlucky loner here.  But, I freaking love Tutti Rouge.  They’re boisterous and cheeky – so like myself!  I find myself cooing over their new designs a little bit more with every passing season, so at one point (probably when they finally release the super sultry Jessica) I’ll self combust.  Phew!

Which has been your favourite Tutti Rouge collection so far?

I would love to hear all about your Tutti experiences!
